LEAST SQUARES ANALYSIS For the A55 Conwy Crossing project the package was designed to automatically download theodolite data, process it and graphically present the results of where alignment work was needed on each facing seal edge of the six tunnel elements. The solution allowed the engineers to survey each facing edge and display graphically any areas outside the very tight 3mm tolerance. Engineers simply surveyed each facing edge and took their theodolite to the survey office, connected and downloaded within minutes. The time saving against engineer calculation time was incalculable.
